The Power of Rookies
Some of turning points for model's glory has been unveiled now, this could be equal for their future in fashion industry. Especially, so many obscure models appeared at Ad Campaign as well as runways((15 Opening Models at 2014 Spring/Summer), and of course, Prada and Steven Meisel, the colossus of fashion industry, led this new trend. Prada cast two obscures, Viktor Van Pelt and Lieke van Houten.
Oppositely, Chanel, Dior, DOLCE & GABBANA, Mulberry cast experts. The trend of casting from 2014SS runways seems to be surplus, it could be enough for losing young model's hopes. But the answers at this time has very balance and harmony. So exciting seasons.
Lexi Boling and Ine Neefs for Balenciaga, Charlotte Lindvig for Proenza Schouler, Natalie Westling for Marc Jacobs, this is my expectation from now.
モデル達にとって一番の時期はもう既に来ているようですね。Ad広告のシーズンが到来し、Prada、Chanel、Diorなどが発表されましたが、非常に刺激的でバランスの良い印象です。多くの新人モデル、無名のモデルが起用される一方、中堅やベテランモデルもしっかり起用されており、2014SSの過剰な無名モデルの起用の流れが変わったように思えます。あまりに今回のような無名モデル達が多いと、特に中堅モデル達の希望が失われかねないですからね。
今回自分が注目したいのはPradaに登場したViktor Van Peltでしょうか。素晴らしい表情です。
まだBalenciaga、Proenza Schouler、Marc Jacobsが発表されてませんが、この流れからすればある程度の予測は絞れそうですね。
